Annotations 95

I created a replica of Windows 95 to display my annotations on two pieces from my design history class.

The challenge was to select and annotate two texts from the semester's readings. I chose Designing Design by Kenya Hara, and Ambition/Fear by Zuzana Licko and Rudy VanderLans. They offer contrasting perspectives on how computers changed design — one from the early days in 1988, the other from a more settled standpoint in 2007.

To bring those insights to life, I built an interactive desktop inspired by the past. Its Windows 95 interface takes you back to an era closer to when the texts were written, and shows just how profoundly digital tools have shaped design over time.
